Artecnologia is the Research and Studies Center for Digital Culture,
the new forms of communication and transmedia languages,
co-founding member of Rebel Alliance | Empowering.
Artecnologia’s applied research is rooted in its
concept inspiration and it has started (1995) with the research program
“Humanism and Technology”, promoted by the Orientale University of Naples,
Sociology Chair of Literature.
Artecnologia is committed, since its inception, in the study of
socio-cultural phenomena, linked to the
Information Society’s development, Globalization, Digital Culture Diffusion and

The Information Society attributes a determining role
to “Non-material Goods”.
With the creation, distribution and use (through manipulation and integration of information), “Knowledge” gains a key role in the economic, political and cultural activities not only from the Countries, but from the entire Humanity.
With the creation, distribution and use (through manipulation and integration of information), “Knowledge” gains a key role in the economic, political and cultural activities not only from the Countries, but from the entire Humanity.
So, the “Knowledge Economy” becomes the economical
counterpart of the “Information Society”, in which wealth is created also
through the economic exploitation of Knowledge and the following comprehension
between Cultures, building a sustainable cross-intercultural dialogue aimed at
the mutual comprehension of the Populations’ customs and traditions. In this
scenario we can affirm the the importance of Intangible Cultural Heritage and
Cultural Diversity for social cohesion and development.
In this context some utilitarian concepts fall in together: for instance, the “soft power” - defined by Joseph Nye - which gains a strategic meaning in the “Public Diplomacy” in order to ease and help building a Nation’s leadership in a “global strategy for win-win cooperation between the Countries”, or the one defined by UNESCO with its “Soft Power Agenda” that focuses on Culture as the center of the Agenda for the global development assuming that: “Culture, in its different expression that go from the cultural heritage to the creative and cultural industries and cultural tourism, is a driving factor for the sustainable development of Humanity’s economy, sociality and environment”.

Artecnologia, so, has elaborated the master plan
“Culture develops business…” that lays the foundations in Cultural and Applied
Anthropology in order to elaborate projects for Action Anthropology. Defining a
mission with the objective of contributing the facilitation of cultural
production in line with what recommended by the United Nations (UNESCO) with
Paris convention of 2003 for the
safeguard and promotion of the Cultural and Intangible Heritage of the
Populations of the Nations, with clear objectives aimed at the intercultural
dialogue for Public Diplomacy.
Therefore, Artecnologia’s applied research in these
new fields of social studies, combined with the field experience in: “Cause related" marketing, Advertising
communication and Creative Production in Content Entertainment, has offered us
the opportunity of developing a philosophy for a cultural production with an editorial
lined aimed at developing real actions for the “Intercultural Dialogue” and the
“Knowledge Exchange”, within the scope of the Rebel Alliance Empowering
international program.
It is, so, in this view that Artecnologia researches collaboration occasions with Public Institutions, Academia, Artists, Intellectuals, Enterprise and Third Sector Organizations (TSOs), Professionals and Private Citizens (all: "the stakeholders") that confirm their sensibility and availability to contribute to the safeguard, valorization and promotion of Culture and Intangible Heritage intended as a Dialogue and Socio-economical development tool.

In the specificity of all the above, our collaboration
seek with these “Stakeholders” is oriented to identify and experiment tools
aimed at the cross-inter-cultural mediation and education between Cultures
based on different ethnic matrix, with the will of giving our small
contribution to activities aimed at the building of interactions focused on
easing the development of economic exchange, particularly for what concerns
touristic promotional objectives.
